Combined Company Will Have Broader Geographic Footprint and Expanded Product Mix; Combination Expected to Provide More Opportunities to Employees, Customers and Suppliers

ATLANTA and STILLWATER, Minn., May 11, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — U.S. LUMBER GROUP, LLC (“U.S. LUMBER” or “the Company”) and Midwest Lumber announced today that they have signed an agreement under which U.S. LUMBER will acquire Midwest Lumber. The combination will create a company with a broader geographic presence and an expanded product mix. U.S. LUMBER, based in Atlanta, is a leading two-step distributor of specialty building products in the Eastern and Midwestern United States, while Midwest Lumber, headquartered in Stillwater, Minnesota, is a leading two step distributor of specialty building products in the Upper Midwest.

Upon completion of the acquisition, Midwest Lumber will operate under its existing brand name as a division of U.S. LUMBER and will be led by current Vice President of Sales Dave Charpentier. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The companies expect to complete the transaction by early June, subject to customary closing conditions.
